Blended-use growth deliberate for Loudoun County

The Mercer Crossing growth is known as for Margaret Mercer (1791-1846), an abolitionist and educator who bought the property in 1836. She commissioned the development of Belmont Chapel, “the place African People have been educated alongside whites,” based on the historic marker on the positioning, and is greatest recognized for “advocating the liberation of enslaved African People.”
