The Legión grew to become nearly a logo of Spanish virility – shirt necks open to the midriff, quick sleeves exhibiting off bulging biceps. It was the thought of Gen José Millán Astray, who would later be a number one component of the fascist trigger in civil battle Spain, along with his battle cry Viva la Muerte! (Lengthy dwell loss of life!)
